The former Jrs European Champion has signed a contract until 2024

Montecatini Terme, 10 August 2023 – The first reinforcement for Team corratec – Selle Italia is the Ukrainian Andrii Ponomar, a 20 years old rider with great experience given his participation in two Giro d’Italia and three Monument Classics in these first two and a half seasons as a professional.

Ponomar, who in 2019 won the European Championship in the Juniores category, arrives from Team Arkea – Samsic, the World Tour team in which he raced in these early months of 2023. 

“I am very happy to start again from Italy and in particular from Tuscany,’ Ponomar said, ‘a region where I took my first steps in the Juniores category. The Italian calendar has many races that suit my characteristics and in which I expect to achieve good results. A new challenge begins and it’s great to be part of Team corratec – Selle Italia, a young team in which I’m sure I’ll fit in very well. I hope to repay the trust with some good results.”

Ponomar’s adventure at Team corratec – Selle Italia will begin with the Tour du Limousin, a race in which he will be directed by Team Manager Serge Parsani, who is very happy with this new signing:
