Team corratec – Selle Italia’s transfer session begins with the signature for the 2024 season of Niccolò Bonifazio.

A fast and experienced rider, Bonifazio has more than 20 career wins in his account, including stages in World Tour races such as Paris-Nice and the Tour de Pologne, as well as the Coppa Agostoni, the Gp Lugano and, last April, a stage of Il Giro di Sicilia.

In his 10 seasons as a professional, almost all of them in World Tour teams, Bonifazio has taken part in five Grand Tours and 14 Monument Classics, also picking up a fifth place at Milan-Sanremo, his home race.

“I am very happy and motivated,” says the newcomer to Team corratec – Selle Italia, “next year will be very important for me and the whole team. I’ll try to do well right from the start because I intend to repay the trust of those who chose me and the sponsors who are driving forward this young but very ambitious project. I think that with the right planning, we can achieve very good results and I can’t wait to show everyone my qualities”.

“It’s nice to be able to welcome a rider I’ve always admired ever since he raced in the youth categories,’ says Francesco Frassi, Sports Director of Team corratec – Selle Italia,‘for his spectacular way of racing, more like an attacker than a sprinter, and for his ability to steer the bike. Bonifazio is a rider who can enthuse. This is demonstrated by that beautiful attack at the Milano-Sanremo in 2020 descending the Cipressa, which has remained in the eyes of many fans, in addition to the many victories in career, important baggage of experience and quality to pass on to the team’s young riders”.
